The Land before Time volume 8 continue the adventure of a group of small dinosaurs that lives in harmony in the Great Valley. The is Little Foot the long neck diplodicus dinosaur, Cera the three horned triceratop dinosaur, Ducky the swimmer Parasaurolophus dinosaur, her adopted brother Spike the spike-tail stegosaurus dinosaur and Pitry the pteranodon flyer. These are the five main characters of the movies series. In total thee are 13 movies and 1 TV series of over 20 episodes.

In this Volume 8 (VIII) titles The Big Freeze for the first time the Great Valley that normally provide food and sudstanance for various heard of dinosaurs get covered in snow. A new character called Mr Thicknose teach the 5 young dinos the way of life. Little foot is quite inquisitive and cause some mischief. A new heard of Stegosoruses arrive at the Great Valley but then move along with Spike so that the little orphan dino can spend some time with other member of his species. His sister misses him and eventually with the other meber of the kid dinos gang goes searching for him outside the Great Valley that normally is green but at the present is covered in snow. While leaving the Great Valey the Stegosarus heard get lost in the snow; Little foot and the other kids meet Mr Thicknose and for safety reason he goes with them searching for Spike. A Tyrannosarus rex try to make a meal of Mr Thicknose and the kids dinos but get sorted out. Needless to say the story has a happy ending, and just like previous LB4T movie there are a number of lovely songs that kids loves to listen….lots of adventure, some almost scary scenes and plenty of fun for everyone.
I really enjoy this series after all I grew up along with it since 1998 when the first movie was release with the magical music of James Horner and the magnificent vocals of Diane Ross of the Suspreme fame at the end of Vol.1, when she sing If we hold on together….

Although there is no Santa, with all the snow of the Big Freeze this would make an excellent Christmas/Yultide Present for any kid, including kids at heart (e.g. Peter Pan Lke:)
